Species need to reproduce so they don’t become extinct. Animals in danger of becoming extinct are called endangered animals. 

Animals can be:

Viviparous. They are born from theirs mother's womb.

Oviparous. They are born from eggs.

Ovoviviparous. They develop in eggs that grow inside their mother’s body.
